Special Education Needs and Disabilities

The SEND Code of Practice (2015) provides an outline of high quality teaching and SEND provision. It sets out what is expected of settings, in line with their Free Early Education Entitlement (FEEE) for children with SEND. The guide below goes through the different types of SEND, what high quality teaching would look like in relation to this and next steps in terms of universal and targeted support.

The Solihull Approach is a team of professionals within the National Health Service in the UK.
